October 15th- Cardica has signed product representation agreements with nine new organizations and has trained more than 20 new field representatives. These organizations and their representatives have years of experience in cardiac operating rooms and have established deep relationships with the cardiac surgeons in their territories.

July 30th-The results of the EPIC trial have been published in the July 2009 issue of The Journal of Thoracic & Cardiovascular Surgery. The results show that the PAS-Port Proximal Anastomosis System met the primary efficacy endpoint of non-inferiority in patency at nine-month follow up compared to hand-sewn anastomoses.
