October 15th- Cardica has signed product representation agreements with nine new organizations and has trained more than 20 new field representatives. These organizations and their representatives have years of experience in cardiac operating rooms and have established deep relationships with the cardiac surgeons in their territories.

July 30th-The results of the EPIC trial have been published in the July 2009 issue of The Journal of Thoracic & Cardiovascular Surgery. The results show that the PAS-Port Proximal Anastomosis System met the primary efficacy endpoint of non-inferiority in patency at nine-month follow up compared to hand-sewn anastomoses. July 8th-Cardica obtained its 70th patent related to our innovative technology, further proof of our commitment to making fully automated surgery a reality in the future and our belief that innovation will provide a better outcome for the patient.

June 19th-Cardica has sold over 20,000 units of our automated anastomosis systems worldwide. Surgeons worldwide have converted from hand-sewing to our easy-to-use automated systems. With both the proximal & distal systems commercially available in the US, several surgeons are leading the charge to make total connector coronary bypass commonplace.
